Celebrity Bluegrass Musicians come to SD Lodge for 7th Annual Pheasant Hunt & Concert Fundraiser The Pheasant Band will be back again this year for their Fall Hunt at Ringneck Retreat & Annual Fundraiser. These band members rarely ever get the chance to play their instruments together, so don’t miss it. It’s a truly, amazing experience to see them perform! The opening talent will feature Huron’s own James River Bluegrass Band The Celebrity Bluegrass Talent lineup of “The Pheasant Band” Barry Bales (Bass) ~ 25-year Bassist & Harmony Vocalist for Alison Krauss & Union Station. 15 time Grammy-winning Musician, Producer & Songwriter. Awarded “2016 Bass Player of the Year”. Jim Mills (Banjo) ~ “Smilin’ Jim” former 14-year Banjo Player for Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder. He has won 6 Grammy Awards & the “IBMA Banjo Player of the Year” Award 6 times. Jason Carter (Fiddle) ~ 24-year Fiddle Player for The Del McCoury Band – 3 time “Fiddle Player of the Year”, Awarded the “2013 International Bluegrass Music Association Fiddler of the Year”. Leigh Gibson (Guitar) ~ Vocalist & Guitarist for The Gibson Brothers Band – Awarded “IBMA 2011 Album & Local Group of the Year, “IBMA 2012 & 2013 Entertainers of the Year”, 2015 Local Group of the Year.
