Mission Speaker Coming To Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in October

Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (LCMS) Is hosting our Mission - Reformation Weekend. October 25 & 26, 2014 and you are invited.

    World famous historian, educator and author, Dr. Paul L. Maier will be coming to speak on the topic: ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY. 

For almost fourteen centuries, the Crescent has opposed the Cross. In this seminar, the world’s two largest religions are contrasted in terms of founders, scriptures, history, beliefs, and practices. The seminar is a timely presentation and is open to everyone wishing to attend. 

    Dr. Maier will be presenting a seminar from 9 am till 12 noon on Saturday (October 25) and again from 1 PM to 3:15 PM in the afternoon. Lunch will be on your own at near by restaurants. He will be preaching during Saturday night worship at 7 PM and  Sunday morning (October 26).  Worship Sunday morning is at 8 am and 10:30 am. He will be speaking at the Adult Bible Class at 9:15 am Dr. Maier will be speaking on the topic of 'Defending the Christian Faith'. Everyone is invited. This is a tremendous opportunity to hear history come alive.
