- Approve the minutes of July 23, 2014.
- Approval of the Parks & Recreation Bills.
- Approval of the Parks & Recreation Agenda.
- Old Business
- Review progress with site development for the Glide and Slide Shelter at Prospect Park. Action needed: Based on items that the contractor needs to begin foundation work.
- Review donation for handicapped accessible playground equipment at Prospect Park from the HHS Class of 1964. Action needed: Motion to accept donation
- Update on landscape work at Splash Central/Central Park. Action needed: Based on general contractor actions.
- Review tennis program for the summer of 2014 and mention the improvements to the Winter Park tennis courts. Action needed: Based on agreement.
- New Business
- Consider special concessions offering at Splash Central for the South Dakota State Fair. Action needed: Based on agreement.
- Review offer of kitchen equipment for prices listed by Bruce and Melanie Harrington to continue the kitchen area at Ravine Lake bath house. Action needed: Based on agreement for value listed on 8 suggested items.
- Mention progress on water slide removal from the old municipal pool area by the City of Groton. Action needed: Based on agreement.
- Consider a LWCF project grant application as part of the budget request for Ravine Lake improvements. Action needed: Motion to complete grant application for up to $100,000 total project based on budget funding in 2015.
- Review the James River Master Plan presentation and open house to be held at the Campus Center on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Action needed: Invite all interested from the city to contribute toward the progression of plans toward public support for projects.
